The brand new “007”

SR-007 series (SR-007 and SR-007A) is very important in the history of STAX earspeakers. From the beginning, its design has the sound quality and comfortable fit expected as high-end headphones. SR-007S is born as a new high-end model leveraging modern manufacturing technology while incorporating the vintage feel of SR-007 series.

●New unit by advanced manufacturing technology

SR-007S adopts a new unit with renewed diaphragms and fixed electrodes compared to the previous models (SR-007, SR-007A). The improved response enhances the clarity of sound details. Then, the clarity is well balanced with the profound resonant sound. The newly designed large circular fixed electrodes reduce the diameter of the air vent holes by 20% compared to previous models. This high-precision etching processing enhances the acoustic sound characteristic.

●Newly developed ARS (Anti Resonance Structure)

Same as the flagship model SR-X9000, an unique arc is adopted in SR-007S. ARS arc is made from a single piece of stainless steel plate without any joints. It is effective to eliminates unnecessary vibrations and enhances rigidity. The newly movable section with hinge parts improve further fitting comfort. Rubber material is used for the head pad attachment part, same as in the previous series, to inherit the adjustment-free and seamless fit.

●Newly developed sheepskin ear pads

The traditional 007’s ear pads feature a rotating design that fits a wider range of head shapes. The breathability and softness unique to sheepskin contribute to vividness and dignity of sound. For SR-007S, more sound absorbent inner part of the ear pads is installed. That improves quietness and sound perspective. The soundscape become wider and more precise one. Additionally, SR-007S adopts the brown color common to the original 007 series, finished with a vintage-inspired tone.

●Adoption of a re-cable structure

A detachable cable structure (re-cable structure) is adopted. This improves the usability of the earphones by enabling future support for high-grade cables and easy maintenance in the event of accidental disconnection.
